Features

  • Save-a-Light can be used in both normal and emergency (power outage) situations as a table lamp.
  • Save-a-Light comes complete with lamp shade included
  • Save-a-Light uses a 26W compact fluorescent bulb or a 60W medium base bulb in the normal mode
  • In emergency mode, Save-a-Light uses a 5.4W wedge-based krypton lamp, which automatically turns ON in a power outage
  • The krypton lamps stays ON for a minimum of 4 hours in the emergency mode
  • The unit comes complete with a daylight sensor*, which acts to prevent the krypton lamp from turning ON during daylight hours (during a power outage), which conserves the battery
  • The lamp is powered by a sealed lead acid rechargeable battery in emergency mode. In normal AC mode, a circuit inside the unit automatically recharges the battery
  • A switch is provided** on the bottom of the lamp to connect or disconnect the battery from the circuit. This would help in moving the lamp from one place to another without having the krypton lamp turn ON
  • When a power outage occurs outside of daytime hours, the krypton lamp illuminates a 400 sq. ft. area instantaneously for over 4 hours
  • * The daylight sensor conserves the battery by only operating while it is dark (even during a power outage)
  • ** The battery on/off switch needs to be ON in order for the battery to be functional in both normal and emergency modes
