A simple way to add additional emergency egress signage. Meets stringent New York City safety codes (New York City Building Code Reference Standard RS 6-1 & 6-1A and Local Law 26 of 2004). Strip is highly visible, displaying a safe evacuation path in the event of emergency.
No electricity or battery required. Easily affixes to walls, handrails, columns, around doorframes, and along stairways and baseboards (requires adhesive or channel mount to install). Under normal lighting conditions, highly visible. In the event of low (or absence of) lighting due to power failure the tape will ″glow-in-the-dark″ - must be ″charged″ to glow – requires exposure to 54 LUX (5-ft candles) of fluorescent, metal halide or mercury vapor light illumination.
Existing tape must be removed first, using a heat gun to warm the existing material and then get an edge started or use scraper. Any residual adhesive can be removed with a commercial solvent adhesive remover.
This product sold by case: 100 Pieces.
