A simple way to add additional emergency egress signage. Meets stringent New York City safety codes (New York City Building Code Reference Standard RS 6-1 & 6-1A and Local Law 26 of 2004). Tape is highly visible, displaying a safe evacuation path in the event of emergency.
No electricity or battery required. Easily affixes to walls, handrails, columns, around doorframes, and along stairways and baseboards (includes double-side adhesive foam tape). Under normal lighting conditions, highly visible. In the event of low (or absence of) lighting due to power failure the tape will ″glow-in-the-dark″ - must be ″charged″ to glow – requires exposure to 54 LUX (5-ft candles) of fluorescent, metal halide or mercury vapor light illumination.
Existing tape must be removed first, using a heat gun to warm the existing material and then get an edge started or use scraper. Any residual adhesive can be removed with a commercial solvent adhesive remover.
This product sold by case: 100 Sets (of left/right markers).
