Most orders will arrive within the times given above. However, you should be aware that the times listed are averages, and due to circumstances beyond our control it is possible that some shipments may take longer.
The cost for shipping is based upon the items ordered and will vary from order to order.
Our goal is to process all orders within 24 hours of receipt. However, please allow 1-2 business days to process your order prior to shipping. Orders are processed and shipped during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, excluding holidays). If we encounter any problems processing or shipping your order you will be contacted within two business days.
The Exit Light Co., Inc. reserves the right to hold any order for a security review. If your order is affected, you will be notified within two business days.
Incorrectly entered addresses or changes post-shipment may unnecessarily delay delivery and incur penalty fees. Please enter address information in the appropriate boxes and double-check for typos and other errors.
Please allow 1-2 days to process your order prior to shipping. Delivery times listed above apply only to orders shipped to continental U.S. addresses. Hawaii and Alaska please allow 1-2 additional days.
Please note that if your order is placed for delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada or other territories, you will incur additional charges. If the shipping is not calculated at time of checkout, we will advise you via email of the final cost of your order for approval before we ship your purchase. Shipments are delivered by package carriers such as Federal Express, DHL Airborne Express, UPS (United Parcel Service), or USPS (United States Postal Service).
You may also order via FAX. Delivery charges are based upon the items ordered and will vary from order to order. We will respond as quickly as possible to confirm delivery charges to your destination. Please be sure to include specifics of the items ordered and include your phone and fax numbers and your email address so that we can contact you.
Multiple Delivery Addresses
If you need to send items to multiple addresses, please place separate orders for each address.
The Exit Light Co., Inc ships internationally. Available products, shipping rates and fees may vary depending on the delivery address for your order.
Please note that if your order is placed for delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada or other territories, you will incur additional charges.
The total shipping charge is based on the weight of each item being shipped. You can calculate the shipping charges by visiting UPS.com or USPS.com and entering the total shipping weight of your order from Origin Zip Code 92081. If you prefer, you may contact our office for assistance before you submit your order. In most cases, the shipping charge will not be correctly calculated at time of checkout and we will advise you via email of the additional shipping cost of your order for approval before we ship. When orders shipped internationally reach the destination country, they may be subject to customs clearance procedures which can cause delays beyond original delivery estimates.
Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility.
Restrictions: We're sorry, but Priority International Shipping is not available for P.O. Box addresses.
For products shipped internationally, please note that any manufacturer warranty may not be valid; manufacturer service options may not be available; product manuals, instructions and safety warnings may not be in destination country languages; the products (and accompanying materials) may not be designed in accordance with destination country standards, specifications, and labeling requirements; and the products may not conform to destination country voltage and other electrical standards (requiring use of an adapter or converter if appropriate). You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from The Exit Light Co., Inc., the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.
Your privacy is important to us, and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers shipping products internationally to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Also, we may provide certain order, shipment, and product information, to our international carriers, and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.
Customs authorities require the value of the order to be stated directly on the package.
Returns & Replacements
The above terms (including, if applicable, terms related to the Import Fees) also apply to the shipment of any replacement product that might be shipped if there is a problem with the original shipment. If you return a product to us, you will be the exporter from the destination country. Title and risk of loss transfer to us upon receipt at our fulfillment centers. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the U.S. may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country ("Import Fees"). The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such Import Fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
Shipping to APO/FPO Addresses & Other Locations APO & FPO Addresses
Having trouble entering an APO or FPO address on our order form? Following these steps should help:
Enter "APO" or "FPO."
Enter the two-letter code for the region where the recipient is stationed. Typically, but not always, the code is "AE" for recipients stationed in Europe, Canada, Africa, or the Middle East; "AA" for recipients stationed in the Americas; and "AP" for recipients stationed in Asia or the Pacific.
Always select "United States" from the drop-down menu regardless of where the recipient is stationed.
Following these steps will ensure that you're charged the correct shipping amount and that your order will be delivered in a timely fashion. All shipments to APO/FPO addresses are sent via U.S. Priority or First Class Mail. We estimate 5 to 7 business days for delivery once the order has been shipped; however, some destinations may take up to 21 days.
Guam and U.S. Protectorates/Insular Areas
Having trouble with addresses for Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands (U.S.), Guam, American Samoa, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, or Federated States of Micronesia? Following these steps should help:

Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA) Addresses
If you're a private mailbox holder (use a local commercial mail receiving agency), do not use "Box" for your mailbox number; instead, use # or PMB. This will help make sure that your address is not mistaken for a P.O. Box, and that orders can ship to you via means other than the U.S. Postal Service.
For orders containing large quantities of merchandise shipping to a single address, please email or call during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM PST, excluding holidays).
Products in our warehouse generally ship within 1-2 days of placing the order; however, on occasion, the item may temporarily be out of stock. If you have not received your order in the time expected, please contact one of our customer support representatives during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM PST, excluding holidays).
Unshipped items can be cancelled as long as the item was not manufactured or customized specifically for your order. Some items, while they can be cancelled, involve a manufacturer's cancellation fee, for which the customer is liable. Approved refunds will be processed within 7 days via original payment method.
The Exit Light Co., Inc. sells products for business use to customers with business identification. Identification is required from all customers. Possession of, or access to, any Exit Light Co., Inc, literature or websites does not constitute the right to purchase from The Exit Light Co., Inc. The Exit Light Co., Inc reserves the right to correct publishing errors. All references herein to the term “products” shall include services provided by The Exit Light Co., Inc.
Prices listed are wholesale, do not include freight, handling fees, or taxes and/or duties, and are subject to correction or change without notice. Market Sensitive Commodity items will be priced according to current market conditions.
In accordance with applicable state and local laws, we are required to charge sales tax in localities where The Exit Light Co., Inc. has operations. The Exit Light Co., Inc. does not benefit from the collection of sales tax and we remit all taxes collected directly to the appropriate taxing jurisdiction. As a general rule, it is the laws of the state of delivery that determine whether sales tax will be due on your transaction. The appropriate sales tax amount will be displayed on the check out section of the site.
Be advised that, because The Exit Light Co., Inc.'s shipping and handling charge is a combined charge, this charge is subject to sales tax in many of the states where a separately stated shipping charge might normally be nontaxable.
Acceptance of Orders
The receipt of an e-mail order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order or a confirmation of an offer to sell. The Exit Light Co., Inc. reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item and/or refuse service to any customer. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order. By placing a credit card order, the customer grants The Exit Light Co., Inc. permission to contact their bank to verify name and address.

General Return Policy
We stand behind every product we sell. While we understand that returns are sometimes necessary, we hope to encourage our customers to plan their purchases carefully, which will help them avoid having to go through the hassle of a return.
If the product has not been used or installed, is in its original packaging, and is in a condition that allows resale, it may be returned within 30 days of the receipt of your order for a refund, less a ten percent (10%) restocking fee AND initial shipping costs. The product cannot have been installed or modified in any way. The product must be enclosed in the original box with sufficient packaging material to have protected both the product and product packaging so that they are in resalable condition, and have a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#), issued by The Exit Light Co., Inc. The Exit Light Company, Inc. reserves the right to refuse any product returned without a properly authorized RMA. Approved refunds will be processed within 7 days via original payment method.
To initiate the return process, send an e-mail clearly stating your situation and what you would like to return. After receiving the Return Merchandise Number (RMA#), the customer will have 30 days in which to return the product to The Exit Light Co, Inc. After 30 days, the Return Authorization will expire and no replacements or refunds will be given. Simply return the product to us via insured parcel post or UPS to:

The following types of items and orders do not qualify for returns or refund:
Orders having an invoice total greater than $1,000.00 are not eligible to be returned.
Items not purchased from The Exit Light Co., Inc are not eligible to be returned.
Special purchases, including (but not limited to): Self-luminous exit signs, bulbs, custom orders, or products that have been built to order are not eligible to be returned unless they have a manufacturers defect.
Return Policy for Products Damaged During Shipment and Defective Products
From the date of shipment receipt, you have thirty (30) days in which to inspect and install the product(s) and inform The Exit Light Co., via letter, fax, or email, of any defects in the manufacturing or damages that occurred during shipment, prior to delivery. If you determine your product is defective or was damaged during shipment, please follow the procedures for contacting the Order Desk. The Order Desk will give you the option to order a replacement or receive a full credit for the defective or damaged goods. If you fail to notify The Exit Light Co., Inc within thirty (30) days of receipt of delivery of any defective or damaged merchandise, The Exit Light Co., Inc. is not responsible for the defective/damaged product and will not be able to service you with a replacement or refund.
The Customer's Responsibilities When Returning Products
When returning product(s) to The Exit Light Co., Inc. it is the customer’s responsibility to pack the product in the original box with sufficient packaging material to protect both the product and product packaging, and mark the shipping label with the issued Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). It is in the customer's best interest to insure the package. Any item received damaged at The Exit Light Co., Inc. is the customer's responsibility and no replacement or refund will be issued.
Policy for Products Damaged During the Return Shipment
If the product is damaged during shipment back to The Exit Light Co., Inc., we will not be able to issue the customer a refund or credit for the product. We will inform the customer via email that the item(s) were received damaged and we will hold the damaged product up to 45 days. It is the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the shipping carrier and to instruct us concerning the disposition of the damaged product. If we have not received notification or response from the customer within 45 days, the item will be discarded, and the refund request will be cancelled.
The customer will be refunded once we have received the returned item and inspected the item for damage. Please note that we refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of an error on the part of The Exit Light Company, Inc. Approved refunds will be processed within 7 days via original payment method.
All products are covered by this warranty and we make no other warranties. The warranty shall apply for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. The warranty only covers products installed and maintained in accordance with the instructions provided by their respective manufacturer and no warranty is made with respect to any of our products that are otherwise installed or maintained. Product dimensions listed are provided by their respective manufacturer and to our knowledge are as accurate as possible. Defects or failures arising during shipment or due to alteration, misuse, negligence, accident, theft, defective maintenance, damage by and actions of others, or where adequate care has not been taken to prevent chemical, ice, or snow damage to the product shall not be covered by this warranty. The warranty does not cover products that have been exposed to toxic, nuclear, or corrosive environments, or where operating temperatures fall below -40° C or exceed +100° C. Due to the unsuitability of many cleaning agents such aspects of our products as could be damaged by their use, for example glass and finishes, are specifically excluded from the terms of this warranty. This warranty does not cover labor, shipping costs, removal or installation, nor does this warranty cover any product not expressly designated an OEM product when it is used as a component of and/or a finished good for a manufactured primary product without the prior written approval.
Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
Except as set forth in the limited warranty or otherwise required by law, The Exit Light Co., Inc. provides all products as is and disclaims all other express or implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and all such warranties are expressly disclaimed.
Limitation of Damages
If during the warranty period any product proves defective in materials or workmanship, or fails to meet our published performance specifications for the product, The Exit Light Co., Inc liability for any breach of warranty shall be limited to repair or, at The Exit Light Co., Inc. option, replacement with a non-defective product of substantially similar specifications.
This warranty covers The Exit Light Co., Inc. and is liable for, only that warranty coverage and damages specifically detailed above. Except as may otherwise be required by law, The Exit Light Co., Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, even if The Exit Light Co., Inc. has been advised of the possibility of such damage. This disclaimer applies during and after the warranty period.
If you discover a defect or malfunction during the period to which this warranty applies, repair or replacement is subject to the proper notification and consent of The Exit Light Co., Inc. as indicated by the issuance of a Returned Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#).
