A simple way to add additional emergency egress signage. Meets stringent New York City safety codes (New York City Building Code Reference Standard RS 6-1 & 6-1A and Local Law 26 of 2004). Tape is highly visible, displaying a safe evacuation path in the event of emergency.
No electricity or battery required. Easily affixes to walls, handrails, columns, around door frames, and along stairways and baseboards. Non-slip, high-traction surface allows for placement on floors and stair steps. Under normal lighting conditions, highly visible. In the event of low (or absence of) lighting due to power failure the tape will "glow-in-the-dark" - must be "charged" to glow, requires exposure to 54 LUX (5-ft candles) of LED, fluorescent, metal halide or mercury vapor light illumination.
Existing tape must be removed first, using a heat gun to warm the existing material and then get an edge started or use scraper. Any residual adhesive can be removed with a commercial solvent adhesive remover.

Construction
The PT2 egress tape is made from flexible, photoluminescent polyester film coated with a permanent acrylic adhesive. Engineered to exceed requirements for emergency egress and meet the industry's most rigorous standards.
Electrical Components
The PT2 egress tape does not require any type of electrical components.
Installation
The PT2 egress tape is designed for indoor safety application such as signage in building, marine, rail, and military applications. The egress tape must be exposed to ambient lighting or natural sunlight. Fluorescent light exposure is the best and fastest charging light.

Can you tell me if this tape would work with LED lighting. We have 600 Watt LED that gives off 25 Lumens.
