Introducing the new LED-U, an upgraded version of our LED exit sign designed for greater flexibility and code compliance. A simple, efficient, and secure UL Listed exit sign featuring 6" LED letters with a universal red/green selectable design. A built-in switch allows installers to easily select red or green illumination, and matching color diffusers are included to ensure uniform, code-compliant light output. The unit operates on 120/277 VAC, 60Hz dual voltage input.
A left and right arrow can be knocked out from the faceplate to indicate the exit direction. A universal mounting bracket allows for easy top or side mounting. This exit sign is pre-assembled and shipped single-sided, with an additional EXIT faceplate included in the box for optional field conversion to double-face.
The LED-U series is UL Listed and meets or exceeds UL 924, NEC, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and CEC Title 20 requirements.

Construction
The LED-U Exit Sign features an injection-molded thermoplastic housing with a durable plastic enclosure rated 5VA flame retardant. Its compact, decorative profile is designed for modern interiors, while a user-friendly configuration allows for quick and easy installation. The EXIT letters measure 6 inches in height with a 3/4-inch stroke, and include snap-in, snap-out directional indicators for fast and flexible field adjustment. White and Black housing options available.
Illumination
The LED-U Exit Sign features a field-selectable red or green illumination option, allowing installers to choose the desired color during installation. Matched color diffusers are included to ensure uniform light distribution and proper color consistency. The factory default setting is red, providing immediate out-of-box readiness for standard applications.
Emergency Operation
Upon failure of the normal utility power, an internal solid-statetransfer switch automatically provides uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 90 minutes. The fully automatic solid-state, two-rate charger initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours.
Battery - Battery Backup
The LED Exit Sign is designed with a maintenance-free 3.6V 300mAh NiCad battery that provides a minimum emergency duration of 90 minutes. Recharge time of the battery is 24 hours.

Self-Testing Option
Unit continuously monitors the AC power, battery supply voltage, emergency lamp condition and charging circuit. If failure is detected, the indicator will show status and correct when adjusted. Unit will automatically perform NFPA required monthly and annual testing. Refer to user manual for details.
