The LEDC1D2-U Hazardous Location LED Exit Sign provides reliable emergency identification for demanding and hazardous environments. UL Listed for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D locations with a T5 rating. The unit features a rugged polycarbonate enclosure with NEMA 4X and IP66 protection for wet and outdoor locations. Red or green 6" EXIT lettering is field selectable, with universal single- or double-face configuration and removable directional indicators. A maintenance-free LiFePO4 battery provides a minimum of 90 minutes of emergency operation. Available with self-testing/self-diagnostics, two-circuit operation, and cold-location configurations. NSF/ANSI 2 certified for splash-zone applications in food processing and food service environments.

Construction
Constructed with a durable polycarbonate enclosure featuring 5VA flame-retardant and UV-resistant properties, with stainless steel screws for outdoor applications. Universal single- and double-face configuration. Features 6" EXIT lettering with a 3/4" stroke, removable directional indicators, and a 100 ft viewing distance. Allen socket screws help prevent unauthorized access to the unit.

The COC1D2-U is UL Listed and designed to meet or exceed UL 924, UL 844, CSA C22.2 No. 141-15, CSA C22.2 No. 137-18, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code requirements. The unit is NEMA 4X rated for ingress protection and rated for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D hazardous locations with a T4A temperature rating. The unit also conforms to CEC Title 20 requirements and FCC Part 15, Subpart B, Class A.Illumination
The EXIT sign features field-selectable red or green LED illumination, with red as the default setting. LED color is easily selected using a toggle switch located on the internal circuit board. The unit includes two red and two green diffusers for field configuration.
Emergency Operation
Upon failure of the normal utility power, an internal solid-state transfer switch automatically provides uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 90 minutes. The fully automatic solid-state, two-rate charger initiates recharging a discharged battery within 24 hours.
Battery - Battery Backup
The LEDC1D2-U Exit Sign series incorporates a 6.4V maintenance-free LiFEPO4 battery (Battery Backup and Self-Testing Models Only) that provides a minimum emergency duration of 90-120 minutes. Recharge time of the battery is 24 hours.

Self-Testing Option
The unit automatically performs NFPA-required monthly and annual testing while continuously monitoring AC power, the charging circuit, battery supply voltage, and AC-to-emergency transfer circuit. This helps ensure reliable operation and compliance with applicable electrical and safety codes. A slider switch allows the unit to be manually tested when needed.

The unit features two universal 120-277VAC input circuits, allowing it to accept two active hot wires simultaneously.Remote Head Capable Option
The unit provides 6V, 3W remote head capability for powering compatible remote emergency lamp heads.
Electrical Components
The unit features a universal 120-277VAC, 50/60Hz input. A finger-sensing test switch and LED status indicator are provided for code-compliance testing. The circuit includes brownout transfer, low-voltage disconnect, overload protection, short-circuit protection, and solid-state transfer.

Installation
The unit is suitable for surface wall mounting using its die-cast mounting brackets. A conduit hub is provided for conduit and pendant-mount installations. Designed for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D hazardous locations with a T5 rating. The unit is NEMA 4X and IP66 rated for wet locations. The CL version is suitable for colder climates, including freezer and cold-room applications.
