Construction
The WF6-CP emergency driver housing is constructed from durable steel and finished with a red powder-coated paint. Recessed down light has a white finish.
NORMAL OPERATION
When AC power is present, the AC driver operates the LED load under normal conditions. The emergency driver remains in standby mode while charging the battery. A red charging indicator light confirms that the battery is actively charging.
TEST BUTTON AND LED INDICATOR LIGHT
The WF6-CP includes an M12 plastic test switch with face plate, allowing the test button and LED status indicator to be mounted remotely in a convenient and accessible location. This enables easy manual testing of the emergency function without accessing the fixture. The LED indicator provides visual status updates: solid red indicates charging, solid green indicates fully charged/standby mode, and flashing green indicates self-testing. If a fault is detected, the indicator will flash red according to the diagnostic code. Refer to the diagnostic diagram for detailed explanations of LED color meanings and flash patterns.
Illumination
The WF6-CP features 5 CCT field-selectable color temperature options, including 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K, allowing flexibility to match a wide range of residential and commercial lighting environments.
Emergency Operation
The WF6-CP emergency driver provides a minimum of 90 minutes of battery backup time. When AC power is interrupted, the emergency driver automatically detects the power outage and switches the fixture to emergency mode, illuminating the LED luminaire for a minimum of 90 minutes. Once normal AC power is restored, the system automatically returns to normal operating mode and resumes battery charging.

The WF6-CP emergency driver features a maintenance-free Li-ion battery that provides a minimum emergency runtime of 90 minutes. The battery fully recharges in 24 hours.

Self-Testing Option
The WF6-CP includes an integrated control and monitoring circuit that, when enabled, automatically performs a 30-second discharge test once per month and a full 90-minute discharge test annually. During routine testing, the emergency driver simulates an AC power failure, automatically switching the unit to emergency mode. The system continuously monitors LED load operation, battery voltage, and emergency duration. If the unit detects a malfunction, the LED indicator will flash according to the failure condition until the issue is corrected and the unit successfully passes the next scheduled test. Installation
The WF6-CP is a recessed ceiling-mounted downlight designed for installation in drywall or sheetrock ceilings over ½" thick. A cut-out template is included for accurate and easy installation. The fixture features a built-in junction box for convenient wiring and requires a minimum of 2 inches of ceiling space to accommodate the spring clips for secure mounting.
