Construction
The EL-CHLED series steel housing emergency light is constructed from 20-gauge steel with a white or black finish. Head lamps are also constructed from steel (polycarbonate lens).
Illumination
Introducing the EL-CHLED series of steel housing emergency lights, available in two configurations: the 2-lamp variant with a black housing and the 3-lamp version with a white housing. Both options offer full rotation and adjustable capabilities, allowing for versatile positioning both side-to-side and up and down. Equipped with powerful LEDs, these lights deliver exceptional brightness and illumination, ensuring optimal visibility in emergency situations. Trust in their superior performance to provide reliable lighting solutions when needed most.
Emergency Operation
Upon failure of the normal utility power, an internal solid-state transfer switch automatically provides uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 90 minutes. The fully automatic solid-state, two-rate charger initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours.
Battery - Battery Backup
The EL-CHLED series steel housing emergency light is equipped with a maintenance-free 6.4V 3200mAh LiFePO4 battery (white housing option + battery backup model only) or a 6V 4.5Ah SLA rechargable battery (black housing).

Suggested mounting height of 10ft illuminates 1 footcandle (FC) spaced at 105ft for a 3ft path of egress.

Disclosure:
Spacing is measured in lab condition with an assumed open space, no obstruction and reflection rates of 80 (ceiling) / 50 (walls) / 20 (floor). Actual spacing may vary depending on what environment the fixture is installed in.
Remote Head Capable Option
The total capacity is 5.4W. This allows the EL-CHLED unit to supply power to additional 6V remote heads. These remote heads would then operate on the same emergency mode as the standard units (see Emergency Operation Section).
Electrical Components
Dual voltage input 120/277 VAC operation. LED display indicates AC/ON. An external push button test switch allows maintenance personnel to quickly determine the operational status of the unit. Unit offers surge protected, solid state circuitry.
Installation
The EL-CHLED series steel housing emergency light is suitable for wall installation. Includes universal knockout pattern on back plate. Side and top knockouts for conduit feed applications.

can I get this with plug and cord installed?

We offer the option to add a 3' cord to our thermoplastic units. However, we are willing to making modifications as well with this unit. Please note that the unit will no longer be UL Certified.
