The COMBOJR2 is a durable and popular Exit Sign / Emergency Light Combo ideal for entrances, retail areas, corridors, stairwells, and other locations requiring emergency lighting. The COMBOJR2-U model is now designed with a convenient toggle switch that allows installers to easily change the LED color from red to green in the field as needed.
This dependable 2-in-1 unit combines an exit sign and emergency lighting in one compact fixture and operates on either 120 or 277 VAC power. A maintenance-free 3.6V NiCad battery provides 90 minutes of emergency illumination during power outages. Each lamp head features 12 SMD LEDs for excellent light output. The unit includes two faceplates for single- or double-sided applications with field-installable directional chevrons. Optional Remote Head Capable and Self-Testing models are also available – See “Remote Head Capable” section for more information.

Construction
The COMBOJR2-U series is constructed from injection molded, impact- and scratch-resistant and corrosion-proof UL 94 V-0 flame retardant thermoplastic housing. White housing is standard.
Illumination
The COMBOJR2-U features a field-selectable red or green illumination option, allowing installers to choose the desired color during installation. Matched color diffusers are included to ensure uniform light distribution and proper color consistency. The factory default setting is red, providing immediate out-of-box readiness for standard applications.
Emergency Operation
Upon failure of the normal utility power, an internal solid-state transfer switch automatically provides uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 90 minutes. The fully automatic solid-state, two-rate charger initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours.
Battery - Battery Backup
The COMBOJR2-U Combo Exit Light series is designed with a maintenance-free 3.6V 900mAh NiCad battery (Battery Backup & Self-Testing Models) or a 3.6V 1800 mAh battery (Remote Head Capable Models) that provides a minimum emergency duration of 90 minutes. Recharge time of the battery is 24 hours.

Disclosure:
Spacing is measured in lab condition with an assumed open space, no obstruction and reflection rates of 80 (ceiling) / 50 (walls) / 20 (floor). Actual spacing may vary depending on what environment the fixture is installed in.
Self-Testing Option
Unit continuously monitors the AC power, battery supply voltage, emergency lamp condition and charging circuit. If failure is detected, the indicator will show status and correct when adjusted. Unit will automatically perform NFPA required monthly and annual testing. Refer to user manual for details.
Remote Head Capable Option
The remote head capability option allows the COMBOJR2 unit to supply power to up to two additional LED remote heads. The remote heads would then operate on the same emergency mode as the standard units (see Emergency Operation Section).
Electrical Components
Dual voltage input 120/277 VAC operation. LED display indicates AC/ON. An external push button test switch allows maintenance personnel to quickly determine the operational status of the unit. Unit offers surge protected, solid-state circuitry.

Installation
The COMBOJR2-U is suitable for surface, wall, and top mounting via included canopy. Unibody housing snaps together with no additional fasteners. Quick connect installation design allows for quick and easy installation. Knock-out chevrons for customized egress signage and field adjustable.
